Bitten by a tick? Find out if it carries Lyme disease!

About Lyme Disease: Lyme disease is the most common disease transmitted by tick bites, and Massachusetts is one of the highest-risk states. Symptoms commonly mimic influenza and arthritis, and may develop into serious neurological or cardiac conditions.

Who are we? TickCheck.com is a collaboration with East Stroudsburg University's Northeast Wildlife DNA Laboratory in Pennsylvania.

We're a full-service University DNA laboratory, and have been testing ticks since 2006. And since 2014, we've tested 466 ticks from Massachusetts, and much more nationwide. Have questions? Give us a call at 1-866-713-TICK!

Over 55% of ticks carry Lyme or another tick-borne disease. [1]

Lyme disease, the most common tickborne disease in the United States[2], can cause fever, headache, fatigue, and a characteristic skin rash called erythema migrans. If left untreated, infection can spread to joints, the heart, and the nervous system.[3]

TickCheck™ can determine with 99.99% accuracy if the tick that bit you carries Lyme or 9 additional tick-borne diseases. Here's how it works:

  1. Order a tick test on TickCheck.com
  2. Send your tick directly to our lab - no waiting for a kit!
  3. Get your tick test results within 24-48 hours of lab receipt.

Test your tick now to determine your risk of contracting Lyme.

Symptoms of Lyme appear days or weeks after the initial bite. Only tick testing enables you to determine if you were exposed to a tick-borne disease before symptoms ever appear, allowing you to discuss proactive treatment options with your doctor. Get your tick tested now!

This is a great service. My cat brought in a deer tick and it was stuck on my arm. Result... Major panic. What a relief when the results came back negative.

So thankful for TickCheck and their advocacy against Lyme by way of this helpful service. As a resident from an area of Canada that does not yet offer in-province tick testing, I am particularly grateful. The process for having a tick tested was easy from start to finish. And from the moment the lab received the specimen there was regular communication re: testing process. I would highly recommend this service to anyone looking for reassurance/ peace of mind.
